Senior Rayford James and Sophomore Dominic Williams finished first and second, respectfully, at the Ponte Vedra Invitational on Saturday. The soggy course was ideal for "cross-country conditions" but not for personal best times, though that didn't stop several Generals runners from performing such. Senior Rayford James won the meet posting his second fastest time of 16:27.4 for the meet's only male National Elite time. Just behind was Dominic Williams, posting his fastest time of the season at 16:35.3, finishing around 100 meters ahead of the 3rd place finisher.
Freshman Ky're Griffis finished third for the Generals running the 9th fastest 5k in school history at 18:08.1 in his first race as a General. Also running season and personal bests were Buay Deng (19:11.0), Kris Smalls (20:49.7), Chris Curry (20:56.8), Andrew Wright (21:04.1), Marcel Enguerra (23:42.4) and Kristian King (26:02.0).
